  • Standing Position Tips

These are actually ISU style tips, but there is some interesting stuff for anyone shooting iron sights competition.

Either way I figure Liberty's Teeth might need some dual aperture sight adjustment tips once he gets his match rifle up and running.

I'm really interested in reading what you've got. While my father taught me the basics of shooting, the Army is where I really had the fundamentals honed.
Interestingly enough, the Army doesn't teach shooting from the standing position very often. In my 6 years in the Guard I think I only fired standing a dozen times.

Dammit Warfab, I thought this was a mispost that belongs in the Swim Up Bar! Be more careful with your thread titles...

I actually like this video better, I feel that the front to target is less stable but it's done now because that is where your armor is. This video is old school and when it gets to standing it shows the old (more accurate way IMO)

Warfab, Brandon Green is a rockstar! Great post!!! He shot with me last year in the P100 and found my sight bounce problem with my belt being too tight. I know, dumb ass move but I lost a bunch of weight and my pants kept falling down.

Golden rules for off-hand: skeleton hold and canting rifle plus managing the wobble!
                      It's a Weebles thing haha.
As far as the new new long range match build, Bartlein just confirmed 5 months on the barrel so I may be SOL for national matches

                            More standing tips:

                            http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/...hoot-standing/

So now we know that apparently we need to shoot 2000 rounds of standing practice the month before the national championships.
