    Greater Rochester Area Matches

    A quick update;
    Williamson Gun Club hosts 50 round coarse A matches the first Saturday of each month
    Genesee Conservation League hosts 30 round coarse B matches the second Saturday of each month
    Anyone interested in giving a match a try PM me and I will put you in the shooters email group.
    In addition as we get close to spring, the Springwater and Attica Gun Club matches will begin.

    Reade Range in Fallen Timber PA will begin there monthly modern and vintage matches as well as Palma and Match Rifle on their 1000 yard range starting in March.

    The CMP Eastern Games are the first week in May at Camp Buntner NC and the National Matches at Camp Perry, Port Clinton OH are the last two weeks of July.

    For those unfamiliar with the different courses of fire:

    Course A: 20 rounds slow fire prone, 10 rounds rapid fire prone, 10 rounds rapid fire seated, 10 rounds slow fire standing

    Course B: 10 rounds slow fire prone, 10 rounds rapid fire prone, 10 rounds slow fire standing

    Most clubs allow sighters at the beginning of the match even though no sighters aren't allowed at the national matches. Target size depends on the yardage available at the range and the type of rifle being used.

      Thanks DW. BTW, I've got "blackpowdershooter" coming down next Saturday for the match at GCL.

                Meeting family Saturday morning to do a pistol transfer at the gun show. I might stop by early to drop some stuff off.

                    CMP match tomorrow at GCL, first squad at 9:00, second at 10:30. Come on down, check it out, see what it's all about!
