    CMP Rochester

    Just thought I would post this in hopes maybe others will be interested to give it a "shot".

    thughes when is it again ? Second Saturday of each month? Is it still at GCL? How do I sign up? Finally what do I need to bring besides a rifle that isn't locked in case or that I have combo for ?

    2nd Saturday of the month at GCL, PM me or Jester your email address and we'll get you on the mailing list.

    We also run monthly matches at ORGC throughout the Summer, I'll post those dates when I get them (usually 3rd Sunday of the month, May-September). Again, PM me and I'll get you on that list.

    You'll need an as-issued modern or vintage semi-auto or bolt-action service rifle (AR, Garand, Mosin, etc.) with iron sights or optics (red dot or scope limited to 4x), @ 50 rounds of ammo, a 2 point sling, some kind of shooting mat (could just be a piece of carpet or yoga mat), and the desire to have fun.

    I'm sure Jester can provide additional info/guidance......

        The guys at Williamson GC run a few matches too but I'm not sure who the contact point is for those.

            GCL matches will accommodate pretty much anyone who wants to shoot. At a typical match now we've got guys shooting F class rifles with bipods, "modern military" class guys shooting whatever AR they've brought, NM competitors, the occasional match rifle, and always lots of vintage rifles. Coaching can usually be arranged for newbies. There are even loaner Garands and ARs available for people who don't have an appropriate rifle.

              Is there a site in period? No clue if it's sighted in properly at this point. Should be pretty close.

                You get 5 minutes to dial in.....I would suggest at least being on paper at 200 yds before you show up.

                  100 yard zero is GTG. Depending on what you are shooting you need +1.5 MOA to get into the 10 ring and we can have a coach help you get her dialed right in
