  • New Addition to the Family

So today I purchased a brand new Marlin Model 60! Now I have something for newbies I take to the range to use

The Mossy and SKS might be a bit much for someone who's never fired a gun before.

Now to find some effing ammo
I could be wrong...it's happened before and it'll happen again.

.22 is plentiful around Rochester. Congrats on the new toy.

Thanks! I've got a few rounds but not many. The place I got it from didn't have any in stock. I'll look a few other places sometime this week.

That was my very 1st firearm. Way back in '73.

Thanks! I wanted something inexpensive but reliable. Hell, I'll probably shoot it quite a bit, lol!

Nice addition. I should have bought that one instead of a Ruger 10/22

Why so? I was deciding between the Marlin or a 10/22. Ultimately the price won, lol! I've read they're both good rifles.

Congrats! That is a reliable action. I ran my 795 (mag fed version of the 60) for a full weekend of gravel, mud, and rain at the last Appleseed, shot a whole brick of CCI without a hiccup. Put some Techsites on that baby and teach the noobs how to shoot old school.
Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

                  I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

I've got a few noobs that want to shoot but I just needed something a little less intimidating than a Mossy 500 or SKS.

I have a tough time getting the 10/22 mags out

I know Thughes is a iron sight guy but I put a $60 Truglo red dot on my 10/22 so my grandkids hit stuff and don't get discouraged.
