  • BSA scope issue

So I have this BSA sweet 17 scope on a savage 93r17 that has become extremely sticky, tacky and pretty disgusting to handle, guess the rubber coating expired. Seems to be a problem with these scopes, Chinese crap!!!! Didn't know where to put this, maybe an optics thread?? No complaint, just a suggestion....
    I'm confused!!!!!

What are you going to do about it? Can it be fixed or is it a lost cause?

I have a BSA 22 special on my .22. It's going to be a target soon. The thing is complete and utter junk. Granted, I shouldn't be surprised since it only cost about $20.

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

Going to send it back to BSA and politely request they replace it or refinish it and if they don't want to they can keep it as I will never buy another product from them. It's actually a good working scope for the money for a low cost rimfire rifle. I have one on a 22, need to check on that to see if it melting down, lol

My father had a scope that got sticky for some reason. Can't remember the manufacturer, but they did indeed send him a free replacement. I think he might have gotten an upgrade out of the deal.

Bsa make scopes for airguns and even for that they are nit good. When looking into low end I suggest something simple and classic like bushnell or nikon or burris.

For cheap, I like the Center Point scopes. I got one on clearance for $35 recently. 4-16x50. I have a couple of them and have no complaint other than at 16x, the view can become alittle less crisp. Anything below that and it's perfect. Simple ... I don't put it on 16x. LOL They also have a lifetime warranty. I've been using them for about 3 years now and I have yet to have one move from where I set it originally.

I used to have a few bsa's and they were not very good. Decent at 1st but with 1 years use they deteriorated quickly.

I have found for not much more the nikons like the Target EFR or redfields are much better.
They can't stop us let them try. For heavy metal we will die!!!

Snowflakes are great!!! You can roll them around into a giant mass and shove a carrot in their ........
