That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!
I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.
I could have been enjoying his nuts.

Dude that's gonna be sweet. I just almost did the same exact build!!! I priced out that same stock, x ring receiver and basically the whole build. Then decided to buy some scopes and a few other things to use some guns I already have that don't get used cause they needed scopes etc. so hurry up with this so I can see it complete and then spend more money lolThey can't stop us let them try. For heavy metal we will die!!!
Snowflakes are great!!! You can roll them around into a giant mass and shove a carrot in their ........

Install and bedding of Rimfire Technologies 5 MOA rail.
The receiver needs the existing holes drilled and tapped for the larger 8-32 mounting screws.

There is a void in the back of the rail so I bedded it with JB Weld. Oiled the top of receiver and cleaned out the screw holes so it can be removed if needed. I used blue Locktite on screws.

All cleaned up and looking good.

Big upgrade for accuracy is pillar bedding the stock so the receiver won't have movement like it does when tightened down against wood.
Started out by tapping out the factory Boyds escutcheon, should have supported the bottom because I chipped the stock when removing it. Nothing I can't repair. It's not glued just press fitted.
This is the set up I'm using, the red T-section and silver pillar are by Raven Eye Customs. The escutcheon is stock. The red pillar is all that is needed in a factory stock but the Boyds is thicker so I need a bit of the silver pillar to make up the diffrence
This is how it will be stacked up inside the stock.

Drilled out for the T-section with a 3/4" spade bit but a Forster bit will work also. Do a little at a time and check depth. I set it a little high so I can file it flush later. Then go all the way through with a 7/16" bit which is the same size as the original escutcheon hole.

Now the messy part, tape is your friend. JB Weld everything together into the stock, make sure you use enough to fill everything in. clamped it together with a bolt and nut to keep it tight.

Next day I filed everything flush and fixed chip in the stock.
