I had a few dollars to spend in January and decided to expand on my vintage rimfire and target rifle collection. I was able to find 2 nice examples of some rifles I was looking for.
1st up is a beautiful Mossberg 144 LSA. Made from 1960-1979.

2nd up is a Remington 341-p model. The "P" stands for "peep sight". They were made 1936-1940 and predate the "5 teen series" of rifles (510,511,512,513). According to Remington approx 131,604 were produced. I really like this model due to the "lifter" system it uses to load the rounds into the chamber. The rounds come out of the tube mag into a cool lifter, the lifter rises straight up cradling the round inside. When you close the bolt it pushes the round perfectly into the chamber effortlessly and without touching the bullet on the chamber. It is said that is what makes these rifles so accurate for just a sporter rifle is because the bullet stays perfectly intact and no lead gets shaved off like a traditional rifle will do sometimes during loading.
