I'm gonna think about it but idk still. Your henry felt pretty good but I would prefer a pistol grip style stock like the marlin has over the straight stock of the henry

It's survived all these years being it was made in the late 1930's without some clown messing it up. I guess it has earned its freedom to not be molested.

I think I read on the Rimfire Central Forum that holes for scopes are Minus $10 each on these old guns, It all comes down to how much will you use it with the scope mounted? Compared to how much you are useing it now. If it were mine and I wanted to hunt with it I would of already had it done. If your intended purpose of mounting a scope on it for occasional target shooting I'd then say "LEAVE IT ALONE" and mess with another rifle to mount a scope on. You probably have about as many old 22 rifles as I have so you can pick &and choose what you want to shoot for the day along with a few kickers. I have other old rifles I use for shooting animals with, so if it were mine I think I would pass on it unless I had a lot of shooting for that particular rifle. If you do drill & and tap it, I'm sure you bought it right and will still make a few bucks if or when you sell it either way, Drilled or un-drilled. Your Choice Grasshopper, make a wise choice.

I decided to put it on gunbroker and pass it along to someone who will appreciate it. I'll grab a newer one that's already drilled and factory tapped to molest. It just sold in 1 day :-)

I did really good. I enjoy shooting it but I don't wanna screw it up either. It's old and in awesome condition. I'm better off passing it along and getting a slightly newer one that's a shooter. Now...what do I want to buy????
