My father has been running into some issues reloading .45 acp. He does all his prep work and then goes to load, and every once in a while he'll go to insert a bullet and it will drop right into the case all the way down to the powder. He's using a single stage press, and uses the same resizing die for all the cases. If all the cases are being run through the same prep process, why would bullet seating be inconsistent?

Has he checked the diameter of the bullets that drop in to see if they are consistent? I'd believe that is more possible than a die giving inconsistent results on a single stage press. Unless he isn't pushing the lever down all the way (ones that are fine), vs some times pushing a bit more to the end of the stroke (ones that fall in). Then the die would need to be reset.“We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.â€

2 scenarios:
- bullet size inconsistent (as suggested by Figment)
- he missed resizing the ones that are swallowing the bullet (that is the only cause other than an undersized projectile that I can see causing the issue)Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own
I have to bend over too far
I get a boner.

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......
