Maybe a little catch-all for oddball tips and tricks? Didn't know where to put this, but figured it can get moved if need be.
For those who are metal lathe impaired... Sometimes you need to cut a pin or make a stud from a bolt, or any other case where you need a clean concentric cut from a relatively short piece of material. The easy way? Chuck the material into a 3/8 or 1/2 inch drill and run it up to a decent RPM rate. Be sure it's running concentric. Then take your dremel tool with one of those thin little cutoff wheels, and run it perpendicular to the rotating material. It's best if you can run the dremel wheel against the rotation of the stock, but it's not critical. Dont force it, just let the wheel cut at it's own rate, and you'll be surprised at how quick and clean this can be.
