500 Yard Private Range in Rochester Area

A while back I heard about a private range that you could shoot at by appointment in the Rochester area. I think at one point I even saw fliers for it at the GCL. Does anyone know if this range still exists? My old man would love to shoot beyond 250 yards so I was hoping to set up the chance for him. If anyone has contact information I'd appreciate it.

Never heard of one personally, but that's not to say it doesn't exist. I'll ask around with other people I know that shoot though.

I have heard rumors as well, I think it's within 45 min of Rochester.

Isn't there a vendor on other site that trains long range precision marksmanship out of Rochester/Buffalo area? Bet he'd know. Might be worth a pm.

the "other " GCL ( like 45 min South of Roch) used to have 500 yds
I have no idea what happen there tho ..
no one around the clubhouse, ranges overgrown etc

Mind you , all of this is dated at least a year or two (maybe three) Bill at OPFOR. South of Naples. They charge ~$30 for a a couple of hours, of them working wioth you. IIRC they have gongs set up out to 500yds. I got the impression that they were not gonna let you just 'go shoot.' It was by appt only, on Sundays only. They have ads running in SCOPE newsletter. I have his number if still interested, I wasn't. I don't know why...I can't find a place to shoot beyond 200yds
