    I've been a member for 2 years now, awesome club! 200 yard rifle range, 2 trap fields, 50 yard tactical range with berms on 3 sides. Very friendly club to every shooting discipline. Fudds are just as welcome as the tactikewl operator types. Open trap and steel shoots Tuesday nights (under the lights!), regular tactical rifle and pistol matches monthly as well as hosting special events. Huge 3 gun match in June, club raffle party in July, Appleseed in September.

    I'll be outthere shooting the first "practical" pistol match Sunday April 26, it's an open shoot so on come out and join us.

    I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

            EvilD, I'm assuming you're shooting the 3 gun in June? Which day? (Sat or Sun)

              Props again to my favorite club. I shot the December "Practical" rifle match today, ran my SKS against the plastic rifle crowd. I learned that 30 cal is heavy metal so I was shooting in a class by myself (and I spanked the competition.....oh....wait, never mind). Drew, you need to get out this way and give me some competition in the SKS class.

              Anyhoo, I wanted to say thanks to Steve, Ken, Eli, Chris, Jeff, and the other shooters for putting on a good safe show today. Thanks especially to Ken and Steve for the unexpected and much appreciated Christmas present (sticker and a patch).

                  sounds like fun! Guess I should practice reloading with stripper clips, or you running an sks set up for mags? Gotta zero mine again (just took off scope ) and give it some excersize

                    Strippers. Mag conversion subjects you to all the stupid "assault weapon" restrictions in this asinine state. As far as sighting in, heavy metal class requires one hit on paper to neutralize a target.....you should be able to hit an IPDA silhouette with one round, at distances that average 5-7 yards, with your eyes closed. See you at the match next month?

                      BTW, we're trying to get a CMP program off the ground at the club this year too. Dust off those Mosins, Mausers, Swiss girls, etc., pop the irons on your plastic rifles, and stay tuned for further info.

                        As a further enticement to the AR guys thinking about shooting CMP, optics up to 4x are being allowed (but I need to understand the details a bit more though).
