  • Address change

I have PA, UT, FL permits. I recently changed my mailing address here in NY. Changing the address in NY (Monroe Co.) was a breeze: stopped in to see my girls, filled out a form, and they did it on the the spot. No charge and all they did was cross out my old address and type the new one across the top of my permit. (Side note: my 73 year old uncle was up from NC last week, he received his NY permit in Orleans county in 1961....exact same piece of green paper that I received 2 years ago in Monroe!)

Changing address for FL permit was easy-peasy, I just did it on-line....took 30 seconds.

Changing address for Utah requires simply sending an email to dpsfirearms@utah.gov, which I did. Will reply when I hear back

Changing PA is apparently not a requirement except at renewal, unfortunately I won't get the renewal reminder a few years from now if they don't have my updated mailing address so I'm going to give the county (Crawford) Sheriff a call tomorrow to see what needs to be done. I'll report back here when I find out.

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

"We have updated your address in our system. You can write your new address on the back of the card or if you would like a new card that will show your updated address, you can follow this link to the application that you will have to print out and mail in: http://bci.utah.gov/concealed-firear...-applications/. The application is called “Replacement Application for Concealed Firearm Permit”. Make sure you get the application notarized and the cost for a new card is $10. Also, since the form is notarized, we cannot accept it faxed in. The form will need to be mailed in or delivered in person."

I just spoke with the Sheriff's office in PA, was told I don't have to do anything (other than remembering to drive back down and renew in person when the time comes because they don't have a way to update my mailing address in their system).

That is awesome how smooth it all went! So out of the ordinary to hear such a great story about three different, efficient, competent offices. Good to know to, cause those are the ones I'd need to do too
