    Need to call and ask for application package to be sent to you.

    Process: Complete 4 page PISTOL PERMIT/ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE APPLICATION,
    1 page APPLICATION FOR STATE PERMIT TO CARRY PISTOLS & REVOLVERS,
    1 page DPS-129-C form, attach color photograph, signed and notorized and mail in with three checks. Receive permit back in about 4 months.

    Tedious but fairly easy process.

    Cost: $136.50 ($70 application fee, $50 CT fingerprint processing & $16.50 FBI fingerprint processing)

    Renewal: 5 years

    Required:

    Copy of NYS CCW Permit
    Copy of NYS Driver's License
    Copy of Birth Certificate, US Passport or Alien Registration Card
    Copy of DD214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty specifically stating "Honorable" discharge status (Military only)
    Approved safety training course (CT requires NRA Basic Pistol with Live Fire)
    Fingerprint card (fingerprints must be taken by a law enforcement agency)

    Also..CT is a good idea to ask for 2 fingerprint cards..the game they play lately at 6weeks is not just a urban tale, it happen to me too along with 10 or so from the "other" place. Its gonna save you time in the long run..

      Just trying to add content bro. I've seen a lot of threads asking about how do I go about getting my XX state permit. Just posting my experience with the states that I've applied for. FL, ME up next, lol...

        Woo to the hoooooo!! My Connecticut Carry came today! Never ever again will I let one of my non-resident permits expire! Quite the waste of time and money redoing everything..but it in hand and I'm happy...(no more having the fear of being a criminal going to my CT range every weekend with my handguns, been doin that for a several months) hehehe
