    Bad news for those waiting on Monroe county permits

    .....a mass exodus of Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies caused by a contract dispute with county administration.

    "The most experienced deputies on the force are now gone. Specialized units for things like DWI enforcement and pistol permit background checks have been dissolved; the remaining deputies have been tasked with absorbing the duties."

    Fight fight fight! 6 months starts when you turn it in, their staffing problems are not your fault.

    Oh and I can't believe they would let that many people retire instead of working with them.... Sign of times when people are tired of giving in to get less.

        I feel your pain Monroe County! It could be worse, you could live in Erie County. Figures, I'm moving and I'm still just a 9 iron away from Niagara County. So close yet so far!

              I like to think it's more a matter of "there are so many permits to process we had to set up a dedicated unit to get it done".

                  This is a great argument for Constitutional carry....if you pass the NICS you should be GTG.
