Permit application advice

I'm in a bit of a quandary currently. As is usual for me, I dilly dally around when trying to get stuff done. I'm hitting a bit of a potential SNAFU with my permit application now. The family and I are planning to move in the first half of next year. We may or may not remain in Monroe county, and most likely will end up in a different town. Is it worth putting in my application now with my current address then attempting to change the address after submitting it, or should injust wait until we move and submit it then?

Since we may end up in Wayne or Ontario county, it may benefit myself to wait and see.

What would you do?

It may be faster to move and apply than start with Monroe county now. I am at three months waiting for just a replacement copy of my permit.

Put in application and ensure when ou move you notify post office AND put up mail forwarding and renew as needed.

Personally I would call Monroe County clerks pistol permit department and ask them what would happen if you moved? I would then call the other County Clerks of where you think you might move and ask them the same question.

I would basically want to know how much time it would likely take for the transfer or application, or could it be finished in Monroe County then change address? If it is transferred mid investigation will they have to start over with it? Will the new County charge you additional fees?

Thats what I would do at least to try and make the most informed decision I could.

I think the most complicated part would be the change of county, if that were to happen. I may contact them, like you suggest, and see.
