  • Restrictions lifted

A few weeks back I posted about meeting with Judge Gilpatric here in Ulster Co. to have the restrictions removed from my permit. Well, this afternoon, I had the scheduled "interview." There were about 30 or so people waiting outside the judge's chambers for their interviews. The judge ran about an hour late, and when the interviews started he blew through about 20 of them in about 25 minutes before I was called in. It took the court officer longer to swear me in than the actual interview.
Anyway, short story even shorter, restrictions are now gone, so I can now carry my neutered low capacity pistols.
Politicians are like diapers. They both need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

Congrats on joining the "full carry without having to worry about the judge finding out that you were carrying outside of administrative restrictions that actually carry no weight of law yet will cause you to lose your permit if you get caught" club.

Congrats on being allowed to defend yourself in public. I despise this system.

I'm with you. I'm happy to finally be unrestricted, but this system is deeply flawed, not to mention fundamentally wrong.

Technically one is testifying, under oath, to be truthful.

Congrats I am waiting a couple weeks until my 2 year mark and submitting my stuff. In Erie we do not have to meet with the judge I believe.

Congrats! It's sad that these are the kinds of things we get excited over in NY. LOL. I guess that's one nice thing about Monroe County is they only issue unrestricted permits.
