Some counties already supply their database of permit holders to law enforcement.
So what if the police know about your license before having to ask you?

I think the indication on the driver license idea will die off. Perhaps they thought people would find it more convenient to carry only one card. I thought there was a similar idea with the hunting and fishing license being added to your dl. With the master database being supplied to the police it is kinda pointless to mandate it.

I kinda feel that this whole stupidass idea will die off when they realize the impossibility of hundreds of thousands permits and multiple counties trying to access info and double check info and then check up on that info..systems will crash, people will mix things up. Some counties don't even have computers and plastic cards yet..this Peshitta don't scare my 00 expiration date..pipe dreams for a state..XL Keystone pipe dreams..sounds good on a PowerPoint, wait til reality.

There was no indication they would allow you just to carry your DL.

I dont like the idea of having to carry your permit, your recertification card and a DL.

Not in this document but I think it was brought up way back when as a possibility to consolidate documents. I don't know why it was even mentioned here, maybe people are still asking about it.

Says right in the document that 2018 is when it starts. Anything before that is voluntary.

It would be awesome if they had zero volunteers.
