    Thanks.
So what should we do, keep calling the clerk or flood NYSP hotline with calls so they finally admit BS.
It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

      They'll never admit that lol.

I personally am sitting back and watching it all unfold, waiting to hear on anything. Granted, I don't have my CCW, so there isn't anything that I HAVE to do. I'm just waiting for the forms to come out so I can stock up, fill them out, and mail them at the last minute with a bunch of random information

I need some counseling service to help me deal with the stress induced after Cuomo's election and the passage of the SAFE act.
Anything like this in the snowflakes post traumatic service division?

Boo. I got my letter today. I was really hoping they'd forget about me.

Congress now has a little over 12 months to pass national reciprocity legislation. I wonder if I'll forget about it before then.

So, I've been trying to work through the logistics of that. One of the youtube CA gun guys is telling all CA residents to get a non-resident permit and then they'll be able to carry even if they can't get a CA permit due to the BS may issue crap in that state.

I began to wonder what happens if national reciprocity passes and I decide not to "recertify" my NY permit. Given that if I don't comply, the NYSP notify the local county clerk to revoke my permit. Once revoked, someone has to come for my guns (all of them, long guns too, if I owned any....according to the safe act).

When they show up for my guns, can I just tell them to piss off and show them my PA/FL/UT permits?

How is the county clerk to know if I have out of state non-resident permits and therefore am not subject to seizure?

Or does seizure happen regardless by virtue of NYS penal code that states my guns get confiscated upon revocation of my permit?

Is this national reciprocity valid in special enclaves like NYC where even our NYS permits are not valid?

If national reciprocity goes into effect, how do I purchase handguns in the future? Federal law prohibits face-to-face sales of handguns to out of state residents and requires that guns are sent to the resident state FFL. Most states with handgun licensing schemes require a valid in-state CCW permit for residents to purchase a handgun from an FFL, so how do I buy a handgun in NY having only a PA/UT/FL ccw? Unless NYS law changes, you will never be able to purchase a handgun w/o a valid NY permit.

Too many screwed up scenarios for this thing to ever work. The only solution is not national reciprocity but national Constitutional Carry as validated by the Second Amendment. Anything less will never pass and is impossible to implement.

(sorry to be the wet blanket)

(well, sorry to everybody but NormDG.....he's already aware of all this)

....or perhaps passing such a bill could lead us to Constitutional carry?

So what if everybody sends in multiple blank renewals, lets pick a number of say 25 per person and only half of permit holders do this, how many man hours would be consumed just opening them to find out they are blank. Like others have said, do it at the last minute and flood them since they didn't issue the permit anyways.
PS. don't used your own address, say use the Azz Clown that created this mess home address, now that would be funny.

What letter, I didn't get no stinking letter. Maybe they should resend them Certified signature required, how much would that cost the 4th Reich.

So the question remains, Do only the County Clerks really know what is on peoples permits and this is nothing more than a State information grab to eventually limit the number of guns on ones permit? So now do we have to sell off x amount to get below 50 or what ever number they pull out of thin air?

It'd be better to use bogus information. Blank forms would make it too easy to just throw it out. Full in all of the information and just make up names and addresses from across the state.
