  • Sling for lefty with SKS and Tapco stock

My SKS is my brush gun. It has a Nikon scout scope with tapco stock. Took a deer last year but dragging it out and trying to carry this heavy rife was a pain. I swore this year I would have a sling. so my requirements are:

    1. Want to be able to front sling is the low ready position when hunting

    2. Lefty friendly (which eliminates using the integrated front sling point built into the rifle)

    3. Secure enough to drag a deer out of the woods and not have the rifle in the way (for this I was thinking a sling that could be set up for both low ready when in the hunt, and slung on my back when dragging out)

I don't have a tapco, but do have an sks with a sling. Is the tapco mount the same as the standard?

I still use it to shoot with just fine.

It also has several spots on it for those plug in modular sling swivel things, I'd use a regular sling but not sure if the original integrated front sling mount will be in an award place being on the opposite side for a lefty.
