  • 870 with busted stock?

Anyone have any suggestions on where I might be able to look for an 870 with a bad/no stock? I'd like to make a bullpup someday, and that seems to be the most realistic way of going about getting the guts of it.

You can contact the company to see if they have any actions you can purchase?

I'd be leery of buying a shotgun with busted stock. If stock is busted who knows what condition receiver is in...

        Very valid point.

I would be surprise if you find a better deal than a discointed at large store now ahead of hunting season. Plus whatever parts you dont need put them on sale online as new.

        That's not a bad idea.

I'm definitely following this thread. I've wanted to do a bullpup also. When ever I'm at a gun store I look at the used rack for a cheap shotgun to buy for this purpose. Any idea what bullpup kit you intend to use?

I have a tough time with the idea of dropping $400+ on a gun only to have to turn around and drop another $400 to have a dressed up $800+ 870. Going the used route definitely seems like the best way to go.

Agreed that's why I haven't taken the plunge yet.

This is something I'd like to do someday as well. Mmmm... bullpup.

That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!

I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.
