The Hexmag True Riser system for standard size Hexmag magazines was carefully engineered, with the Ar-15 consumer in capacity restricted states mind. You get a standard size magazine that is magazine pouch friendly, looks natural in your AR-15 and can still be dissembled for normal, routine cleaning/maintenance or to change the HexID system.

Of all the magazines the most reliable ones over time continue to be the Colt GI magazines retrofitted with a modern follower like tapco or magpul.
They sell them with a stop pinned or rivet to take 10 rounds only and w/o all that extra tension in the 10 version the coil will last for ever.
For extra COAL the PRI (more expensive) and ASC might give up to 2.3 - 3.31 max coal that is nice for those who reload 75 to 82gr match bullets,
I mean, given your 223 chamber version allows for that kind of freebore.
A shorter regular 10 mag makes more sense for most anyway as 30 round ones are too long for prone and the bench. for tactical, 3 gun is a different
story.
