    Cobalt Kinetics

    I saw a review of the Cobalt Kinetics BAMF a few months ago and started daydreaming about having the capability of dropping the bolt by pushing the forward assist on my competition rifle. Now it appears as though they've gone even further with streamlining AR platform rifle controls. Apparently they've come up with a rifle that automatically drops the magazine after the last round is fired, and then automatically releases the bolt when a loaded magazine is fully inserted. Pretty slick.

            So basically Cobalt Kinetics is doing a great job building cool reasons to leave New York State.

            Adding a bullet button really puts a damper on the mag release feature. It sounds like even Kalifornians will be able to buy a configuration of this rifle.

              Why couldn't this be made NY compliant? Sure it would ruin the looks but a featureless rifle (cap end and replace pistol grip) with detachable mags is (currently) OK.

                        Custom 5.56 AR that automatically drops magazine after last round and then automatically closes bolt when fresh mag is inserted, shaving a second or two off your reload times during competition. Super trick, high tech, and definitely not a candidate for "fixed mag and top load".
