  • Free Float Quad Rails.

Looking into 12" free float quad rails for a new build. I plan to add a bipod to the end, so I want something that is solid, budget for this tops out around $200 out the door, so I can't splurge on a Daniel Defense or something of that nature.

I've been looking hard at Yankee Hill Machine Diamond series in a 12"

Midwest Industries T-Series (Gen 2 and Gen 1)

But I recently came across AT3 Tactical. They're coming in a good bit cheaper, with a product that seems to be right on par with those above. Anyone used anything form AT3 Tactical before?

Any other suggestions for a solid free float quad rail under $200?

Meketrefe posted this link to a place selling rails for cheap a while back.

There are always some deals on rails and parts at Camp Perry, but that's 7 months away.

    Praying things get better.

Armalite FF quad rail is the best in the biz and is $35 over your budget but worth it

I tend to operate on the same budget policies as government. Going over is normal.......

I'm liking the Fortis very much. The keymod rails are growing on me a little at a time......

Yep, I think I'm pretty much sold on the Fortis. Thanks Gunsick.

The description just says uses standard barrel nut (not included) The upper that I have coming has just cheesy 2 piece drop in plastic handguards. I should be able to just take the Delta ring off that barrel nut and run with it, no? It looks like the rail clamps directly to the barrel nut instead of screwing on to it. Is there any other additional hardware I'll need besides an LP Gas Block?

I have a Noveske keymod rail and love it. Similar to this one (mine is shorter):

Noveske is excellent for sure. Most of the ones in the configuration that I want are way out of my price range though.

Fortis REV 12 is in the mail. Over budget as usual at $209, but hey, what's new build without a little red ink.

No worries, you will be happy with it. Standard barrel nut is all you need. It's actually my favorite handguard out of the ones I've used and I've used most of them at one point or another.
