Five years later the scope still works fine, but was not on the rifle last night which is why the Coyote's who attacked my dog last night are still breathing.

Lost count after 1,000 rounds, when I first got it gander mountain had 250 round mini cases of Red Army, and I went trough a case every pay day, then it got boring. As far as accuracy goes I got a complete aftermarket trigger (when i got it it had no trigger), with Tula or red army irs 3-4MOA, with good Hornady SSGT iI consistently sub 2.5MOA, most of my AK buddies seem to shoot better with my SKS than thier own AKs. Mine scope is scout mounted, high eye relief, and at 2X its a great both eyes open fire. Thing has lived in my Truck and both my Jeeps, and gets tossed around and still holds a zero and hasn't broken. Usually with theses cheap scopes I find the seals go and you get moisture between the lenses, but so far still as clear as the day I got it.Originally posted by Norm DeGuerre View PostI found the Norinco cast receiver mount pretty good, the rifle just isn't that accurate anyways

Just food for thought. I once got a generator from a Chinese off brand that was a 1:1 clone of a Honda, and 100% parts compatibility for Honda, but its was only $500 and 12K watts with a 50A receptical Honda sued them, the company "closed" but all that meant was the US shell company closed, the factory in china remained open, and just rebranded the generators and sold them in the US under a new shell company, they get shut down again, rinse and repeat. . After dealing with Chinese manufacturers in the Tech space I have learned china has no copywrite laws or enforcement. Alot of the final cost of a product is because of R&D and prototyping cost, so allot of these company will just do a 1:1 copy of an existing product, not reduce the quality, but because they have no research cost, and pay slave wages, they can produce the exact same thing for a fraction of the cost. Literally its not uncommon if, as a US company you hire a Chinese plant to manufacture your product, you pay for the tooling cost to the get machines configured for your molds ect, and at night they shut down and run a second shift using the plant, tooled for your product, but they make an unbranded clone at night, and it only cost them raw materials and labor. It would not surprise me to find out they just copied a $100 scope.
