          for instance ...
I carry mags when varmit'in with different loads and projectiles
          see that chuck @ 600 yards ..??
          ---> V-MaX time

some easy shots at 300' ..??
          surplus ammo mag goes in
with the price of ammo, it just makes sense

Sure, it affects it in relation to typical AR function but when compared to a traditional hunting rifle it's the same as any other top load fixed internal mag.
Chances are the owner is going to shoot more deer than terrorists with this rifle.

AR certainly was not intended to be top loaded, so as a defensive weapon its not ideal to top load but hunting with a top load ar10 it gives back adjustable length of pull and muzzle breaks.

Lets not underestimate a top loader, in Vietnam we had m14 and m16 and they had the SKS and we all know how that turned out, however the sks was designed to be toploaded quickly with clips.

Overall as a Hunter or long range gun its practical to top load the AR 10 but definitely not something I'd use for defensive.

un safe =10 rd limit , hence It is roll marked NY10 - not AR10 -

Some guys with the negatives sound like this would be their only weapon.

Just something to punch paper & the occasional critter with for me. This ny10 lower would let me do so with all the evil features intact.

It is an AR15 with 223 rounds. There is a big difference with a 308 lower.
In any case the above might be great for alternative calibers and even pistol but will be a pita to switch calibers like for using a 6.8spc for hunting.
But perhaps the new multimag follower might resolve that.
not for me anyway. I would pretty much prefer to preserve the most important feature of the autoloader that is a fast magazine change.

It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

BTW how do you register a lower for multi caliber use? Do the counties take "multi" as a valid caliber?

If its an Ar15 I like it even less, by the time you spend 700 to 1000 plus to build the rifle and all your gonna do is punch paper, no thanks ill stick to complaint stocks and just go full features on my sks than can be reloaded quickly
