  • Winchester model 94 XS sights and scout rail

Ordered them today and plan on giving the model 94 a makeover. Anyone have these and like them? I have to drill and tap for these because mine is a top eject model. Angle eject comes pre tapped. I'm going to Cerakote the rifle because every time I touch it it rusts, ebonize the stock and throw on a recoil pad. Hoping the makeover makes me get the thing out to shoot more often!

I have a Model 94 AE in .307 Win. Odd ball caliber. Nice gun but haven't shot it much. Post up some pics would like to see what you're talking about.

I had the XS tritiums on my SA XD Service for a while. Could not get used to the shallow V rear with "vertical bar" tritium and the tritium dot front surrounded by white. Always shot low in IDPA like competiton because I'd try and bring the tritium dot down to the top of the V.

Probably different with a rifle though, unless you're shooting fast. Replaced them Trijicon 3-dot tritiums and never looked back.

(Isn't it nice just BS'ing about "gun stuff"?)

when i inherited my 94 I had to promise to leave it as is. I still shoot it alot. Stock its the lightest gun I own. With factory sights I'm hitting tannerite at 75 yards so I like it just the way it is.

I'm the guy with a $200 shotgun with $300 in hardware bolted on it. And I still would not change a thing on my 94

This is the rail for scout set up. Not my pics, have not received mine yet. I am going to finish my 10/22 build before I start with this project. CG if yours is angle eject it should be drilled and taped for this already.

Since this uses the dovetail from the rear sight I'm putting a ghost ring set up on mine. I like Irons for backup.

Rail, scope and sights. I have a Nikon 3-9 pistol scope I'm going to use on mine.
