looking into reloading the .308 cases I have
given the cases are free, it seems that powder, primer, projectile add up to a fair amount of what some cheaper new ammo costs
    any suggestions ..??

Sailor Jerry might want to chime in on this one (or send him a pm). It seems he roped me into a group deal where I'm getting 2000 .223 bullets for $140 or about $0.07 each... seems pretty reasonable. He might have a lead for 308s... and I would also be in on a group buy for that too if it helps. I know he reloads 308 as well...

RMR is my go-to, check them regularly as they rotate deals a lot. Free shipping too.

Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

      I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

Like always It is a matter of buying bulk and enjoying substantial reduction in price per unit yet with decent quality.
What do you like to do with them? Do you want to shoot for accuracy with some consistency or just plinking or make noise? For plinking the pulled bullets could be
a good source but they are not cheaper than brand new bullets when bought in bulk. This is the best bullet in the 150gr FMJ category, very consistent in dimensions and
canelure. 2100 bullets for $400 and can apply a coupon if you get one. ... http://www.midwayusa.com/product/116...ProductFinding

I never buy lots larger than 500, I have reloading ADD and try lots of different 100 packs. That being said, only way to reload for cheap is to buy in bulk and pay the price up front, but you really need to know that you will like that projectile.

This is a good practice. Always try new powder, primer and bullet combinations. In case of the 150gr FMJ the hornady is a safe bet for the standard loads. They the best fmj in the market and not only that, it is the cheapest bullet for this. I am done with sierra with a few exceptions. I am finding more inconsistencies every day and on top of that more expensive.
Did you know the service rounds for long range were destined to be nosler match burners and Sierra ended up with the contract? I think some body part sucking took place under the table.
Essentially the same but better and cheaper. If federal gold medal were to switch to nosler they would produce the same consistent results. The only favorite sierra load I still have are the
69smks for 223 but even that can be replicated with hornday hpbt 68gr.
So please trust me on those hornady value packs. I have been doing this for a long time so you can rest assure is a good investment to work some quality reloads and not just to make noise.
