ordered the Ares SCR 002

So i sold some stuff so i could get this rifle. I was set on the model with the dust cover and sporter stock, and it was the toughest to find.

I found one place that had 3 in stock for 800 even shipped, and by the time i finished registering and going through checkout, they sold out..ugg... so i struggled with a couple other places that were slightly more $ with no luck, so i had to pay 850 shipped but it was the last one in stock. And no distributors have any in stock with no timeline as to when ares will get more out.. oh well, 50 bucks more.

It should be in by friday, and i ordered a 15" lightweight hand guard, bushnell ar223 1-4x24 optic, cantilever mount, rainer arms raptor ambi charging handle, had to get the ares scr bolt catch, and a set of folding offset buis. Im excited to get it put together, and ill post up some pictures when its together.

I actually love the way it looks, sorta like how i prefer the look of the saiga to the ak. The conventional stock works for me. Plus, the muscle memory of a conventional stock and the safety translates right over to my shotguns and other long guns.

thanks all, and it wasnt easy parting with the loot as it could have gone to pay off some other bills... but, i sold stuff with the intent to buy this gun and set it up how i want so it is what it is. some of the items i ordered wont be in until mid next week so hopefully by next weekend it will be all together and i can post up some pictures. then i am gonna run the crap out of it to see if it passes my shtf test.

and normally, i wouldnt even put up a post like this before having it in hand, but the forums are slow so i figured what the hell.
