anyone have any experience with this, or is it too new? I'm especially thinking in 308.
i know the stock has been out a while, so any experience there at least?

i like everything about it on paper anyway. love the mag capability, size, stock, bolt handle, scope rail, etc. really want my next bolt gun to take common mags such as this and i think i need a 308. may also just build an ar-10 and forgo the bolt action. the bolt action just might save me ammo HAHA but allows "evil" features (even though this particular one doesn't come with any), in addition to slowing me down.

I've never had a bad experience with anytbing Magpul. I have their SGA stock on my Mossberg 500, absolutely love it.

Best to stick with one manufacturer when building an AR-10 to avoid compatibility issues: PSA or DPMS.

      I went PSA.....

I was just looking at Ruger gunsite options, must be something in the air with .308 bolt guns that take detachable mags. I'll have to look into this one, any idea of the weight?

yeah that has always interested me as well. don't know the weight of the magpul/savage and really shouldn't look it up here at the office so will have to do some digging when I'm home.

Thought today was m1a is a hell of a battle rifle and there is a ny legal version in 18". Anyone who sells a ar10 ny legal? Might have to do some research.

Yeah I'd obviously love an m1a too

I think i'm going to start building an ar10, we can do ours concurrently if you want.
another option is i can fwd you a local guy that gtnorry & Thugh's turned me on to that can build one for you.
compliant of course, either locked mag or featureless routes.

Those look like sweet rifles, but pricey.

There's a guy selling a Ruger Precision Rifle in .308 on a local board for $1295. Claims it has less than 100 rounds through it.

If either of you are interested I can ask if it's still available.
