  • Mosin-nagant carbine

Anyone know the going rate of mosin-nagant carbine, decent shape, non original stock. I've wanted the carbine version for a years. I know the days 100-125$ full size is gone but not sure what the current price is.

I would be less concerned about the price, and more about if the action had been re barreled
a lot are corroded and shot out
I have one that was rebarreled xx but I prolly bought it 30 years ago
The ammo is very corrosive to say the least
Not a very accurate cartridge either

Much worse than the full size? I'm thinking it would be a 8"plate gun at a hundred yards. I could live with that for a brush gun with inexpensive ammo.

All's gonna depend on the rifle you get
            rebarreled ??? Yes, maybe

It's been a while since I priced them but I'd say $300 to $450 is a good price these days, with anything less being a steal, and anything more is a gun show price.

That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!

I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

I could have been enjoying his nuts.

Ok Boomer! They stop being cheap truck guns years ago....all the bubbas chopping them up made the remaining ones worth a few $ to the collectors. I did pick up an authentic PU sniper almost 10 years ago for $600, take a peek at what they're going for now. ;-)

8" plate at 100 yards easily....with open sights and surplus ammo. I've got a bunch of the carbines (M-38's, M-44's, 91/59's)....all good shooters.

Those are probably the best since they're cut-down 91/30's so you get the benefit of the heavier barrel plus the shortening operation eliminated the worn muzzle/crown and last several inches of worn out barrel.

Tough pill for those of us that were buying them for under $200 "back in the day" but that's the going rate these days. If you want to play......
