    The Finnish M39

    Finally found one of these locally at a gun show yesterday. It fills a hole in my Finnish collection very nicely. This bolt action rifle was their answer to a replacement for the longer and more cumbersome M91, and also the Finnish M27 (and other lesser known variants) which they improved upon with this M39.





    This one still has a stock disc, also known as a unit disc. Post war, as it is zinc, instead of brass.

    That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!

    I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

    I could have been enjoying his nuts.

        It's got that been there/done that stock, even though it is a post war stock. This one was well used by multiple Finnish soldiers, I'm sure.
