Wow that was really cool! I liked how they kept skeletonizing everything to show more and more of workings.

I once caught a vid of an FN FAL, top view, using a high speed camera. The barrel whip/harmonics out of that was impressive, and scary. What appears to be rigid steel appeared to oscillate plus/minus at least 1/2" at the muzzle.

Wow! a thead about firearms!!! what happened? lol

The M4 itself should have never existed. What a horrible design for a shorter carbine.

          - Barrel profile amplifies the risk of point of failure just ahead of the gas block where the minor diameter is too small.
          - carbine port should have never existed. This makes the gas block and group run at higher pressure and with more heat.
          - The 1/2" threads should have been terminated and stick to the 5/8 standard. Crown swelling reduces accuracy life fo the average barrel.

If they wanted to integrate a grenade launcher they should have designed the mount and bracket instead of screwing up a nice rifle.
I feel a 18 or 17.5 inches would be a perfect compromise and then use shorter buffer tubes and recessed suppressor designs.

          - they could have introduced more mass in the carrier and even provide a retrofit with dual springs for the carrier and this way avoid
the buffer tube all together. This would also make it cross compatible as far as the receiver goes.
Something between the new one and Stoners AR-180 that in my opinion were a more robust design for a fighting rifle...

It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance
