I was in an infantry brigade but I was IT soecialist and worked on servers. I got to run this one for the first time at the CCW shoot last night. Two thoughts:
- recoil is very light and muzzle flip almost non-existent (which was a weird sensation after shooting a 1911 in .45 the past couple of weeks)
- fiber optic front sight is not optimal for low-light work
We had a low-light scenario to shoot last night and everything else that I own (except my XDS) has night sights so I have become used to a bright 3 dot sight picture. The red fiber optic front sight on the Springfield did not gather any light under the conditions we were shooting so my front sight pretty much disappeared.....made it difficult to get a decent sight picture.
