  • Belt for CCW

I know I put this up here early on in the life of the forum but can't find that post...

I need a new EDC / Gunbelt that will be able to handle weight of gear, etc. I believe someone here said a guy in NY makes quality leather belts but brain is fried and idr. I have duty belts but need a belt that doesn't look tacticool. I'd like to support NY business but if need be will buy out of state.

    Thanks!

Not NY but I've been really happy with my Crossbreed. Haven't bought anything from them since owner passed so don't know if quality is same but it was a solid, well made belt when I bought it several years ago and has held up well.

Hmmm.... I have a few crossbreed holsters from years ago. Sucks to hear he passed. Will check out their site.

Yeah its been a couple years he died fairly young. I think its still operated by family. Works perfectly with Crossbreed holsters.

Hank's Amish is a nice heavy belt but this is my new favorite. Not as thick as Hanks but it does have a plastic strip sewn in to stiffen it and the adjustment range is AWESOME! (no more "this hole is too tight but the next hole is too loose). I love mine:

Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

              I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

TH, nice looking belt. I like the virtually endless adjustment capability. I might try that one.

You won't be disappointed, the adjustment range is the cat's ass: loosen it a bit after a big meal, tighten it a bit when you missed lunch. There is plenty of range to adjust for both OWB carry (my normal method) and IWB without having to compromise on how tight/loose my gear is secured. It's also a pretty damn good looking dress belt, I just wish they had it available in brown.

Not quite: standard belts and buckles are 1.4" wide, carry belt and buckles are 1.5" wide.....not interchangable.

I go to the store and find some pretty bad ass belts. Just look for cowboy or rock/modern sections. Also at horse ridding equipment store they have some heavy duty stuff wo being ugly. You can order custom too. If I need more holes I have the punch pliers so that is not a problem. Even in marshalls I found some heavy duty belts that look nice.
It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

I ended up grabbing the Hanks belts. One with Kevlar reinforcement. Awesome so far. However, it seems a Koreasentials will be in the mix as well lol
