  • New MP Shield 9mm

Bought it last Monday, picked it up yesterday. Went to the range, cleaned it and put 40 rounds though it at 10 yards in the indoor range, like it a lot will be a nice carry gun. The paper plate has my first 8 rds on it, I was shooting a little to the left!!

Didn't really carry as my licesne is restricted, but that should change after the 24th when I take the class to have the restrictions lifted! But I do have a Kel Tec PF-9 that I don't like at all!! I will also carry my S&W 6906 about the same size as the Shield but a double stack SA/DA real sweet trigger in SA

Excellent choice. I've been carrying one for about a year and a half now. The upgrades I've added to mine are Talon rubberized grips, Tru Glo TFX night sights, and the Apex Tactical duty trigger kit. The trigger kit made the most notable improvement in the performance of the gun. The factory trigger was very gritty right out of the box, it smoothed out a bit after about 500 rounds, and I got used to it, but never really liked it. I put the Apex kit and couldn't believe the difference.

          Congrats. on the new purchase.
I just bought a ruger lc9s. Trigger on it is very nice.
I was debating between the ruger, sig p938, and shield.

I usually carry a 1911 commander. It conceals nicely on my small frame, but this ruger is in a completely different ballpark. It's so light I don't even know it's there. I can draw much faster with it too.

Dwa, how you liking them sights? I think those are going to be my next purchase.

Some of my friends have the LC9s and the Shield, it was between the two the Shield just fit my hand better! I got it for $429.00 with a second 8 round mag thrown in. So 1/7rd and 2/8 rounders

I love them. They really pop in the daylight, and have a gentle glow in low light, so it doesn't wash out your sight picture. I'll be putting a set on the G19 for winter carry very shortly.

Make sure that you get the TFX, not the TFO.

Very nice! Yeah I've been happy with mine so far my bro got one when they first came out though and had the mag release spring rust on him and then it wouldn't hold a mag in, easy fix just something to look out for. Great gun happy shooting!
