  • Desert Eagle 50

Shot a Desert Eagle 50 cal today and its a nice gun. Recoil is not bad but man its a heavy gun, I would not want to carry one on my hip for any extended period of time lol. I probably have medium size hands and my fingers just got around the grips. I put about 15 rounds through it and its really not punishing to shoot. It was really nice to shoot an Assault Pistol in a Free State.

I would of figured there would of been a lot of recoil, guess the mass kinda keeps it under control. I remember seeing one once a gun show and wanting one but that was before I had a permit

Had a DE when I lived out west, got rid of it because of it size, if it don't fit and ain't comfortable, you'll seldom shoot it well.
I must say I love beavers.

Fun to shoot but I probably would not buy one for that reason unless I was using it strictly for hunting.

                you want horse power?
The 10" bore I made with the 357 gunner I am going to make into a pistol.
There is nothing like starting the hunting season with a big bang. LOL

Shot a DE about 10 years ago and it was very nice. As stated, didn't kick as hard as I had expected. I did like the fact it shoots about a 8 inch flame out when fired in an indoor range.

When you go with heavy loads the flames are big. Those are better for a carbine / lever action.
