My new Oddball Walther

Picked up this 1976 Walther PP Super in Cal.9x18 Utra/Police. They only made them for a few years. Bavarian Police turn in. Ammo will be tough to find but luckily its still available at a couple places and I found a set of RCBS dies to reload with after I get my used brass. These are basically a PP or PPK/s on Steroids and built like a tank.

No sir. I got it in the Buffalo area unless he traded it in and I ended up with it somehow.

No that is 9x18 Mak Ammo and that is easy to get, my local Cabelas has tons of it.

I ran into an Old Tymer in the Pistol Permit office when registering it and he has a box he is going to sell me just until I source it. It was probably a one in a million shot that he or anyone around here had it. Fiocchi only runs it every so often. I have another source but I have to find out if they will ship to a NY FFL.

Cool. I have never heard of 9x18 Ultra / 9x18 Police. Its a tad smaller than Makarov, but if you need to there are ways to convert brass. It's considered an obsolete cartridge, so save your brass!

Definitely will be like flies on Peshitta with the brass, also going to do some experimenting on trimming down of a couple different cases with the same dimensions except the length.

Thanks pretty much everything you ever wanted to know about 9x18 Ultra/Police is here. If you scroll down and click the links there is pretty extensive testing. Most of the tests were done with shorter barreled guns so the PP Super will exceed most of the results due to the longer barrel length.
