  • Holster suggestion for 586 S&W 4" .357 for CCW / Farm Carry

Looking for a pancake style holster or other ccw type holster for my 586 L frame. Yea I googled for some ideas but looking for those with any experience actually carrying and using a revolver holster... Not posts that say "can't help ya."

She's just too pretty to sit and not be out every once in a while. Shoots a nice tight group, timing is perfect and after lots of training can speed load like whoa lol

Do not know what you want to spend but I just picked up a second hand Tauris holster and its a work of art. The guy gets high praise for his leather craftsmanship been doing it 50+ years. He is an old tymer that carried revolvers on duty for many years so he knows revolvers. I would give him a call if its in your price range. Read his testimonials and who they are from.

One man show he does it all the Old School way. I believe he is in his late 70s now, they are not cheap though. I am probably going to order one for my Walther PP and PPK/s so I can use it for both guns, I will get the open muzzle model because the frames are identical. He can probably customize it to your liking and you dont want that sexy S&W in a 10 dolla holster lol.

I actually saw that one already and considered it for the price but that looks like a lot of ABS lol.

How is it drawing and carrying with that thing on? I'm still more then likely gonna go with handmade above but this may be a great one too

The fobus draws fine. Has good retention with my crossbreed gun belt. It's definitly a cheap holster though. It's not kydex. I am happy with what I use it for. Light duty range and home carry.
