Perkaboo here I aaaaaam!! Lol! Yes i always do ankle it..i have several and tried many..i finally found the one i love with comfort and non sliding aroundness..i use a DeSantis spandexy type with the heavy velcro that seals it tight around the ankle without it rubbing or moving, the inside is a fuzzy fake sheepwool to absorb any sweat and keep it comfy for those 10hour days.. i run a restaurant up and down stairs all day and it never moves..it's got velcro to hold it in over the trigger which stretches enough to fit 3 of my pistols. I also wore it when i was a suit and tie guy, the choice of dress pants mattered with that though..had to have enuff movement on the calf to not be tight and printing.
ANkle holsters are for tertiatiry carry and should never be your primary weapon
Fukk that response. Lol
But for logical reasons..my logicalness is
1) because i work with bunch of chicks and touchy feely peeps..we're always huggin and grabbing so a hip or SOB doesn't fly good for me(even though they all know i carry everywhere) but I still get picked up from behind by this one or hugged by that one, and that Peshitta hurts when your strapped above the waist with blue steel
2)certain clothing that has to be worn for career may not allow for any other form of carry..in my case
So as I understand why you may say tertiary due to slow response time or tightness of jeans or whatever, for me its my apex way of carry, once i get home from work its a deep conceal IWB for chores and town..
I'm with 4ex. Work requires the peons to wear tucked in shirts Mon-Thurs and I haven't picked up anything different for casual Fridays and weekends. The one higher up usually wears his shirts un-tucked because he carries IWB, but he also has an ankle rig he uses depending on the day. I don't wear suits, so it's news to me that they have to ride up when you sit down. I'm pretty sure that would drive me nuts whether I was carrying or not so I'm glad I don't wear suits. As long as my pants don't ride up I'm fine and never show anything. If my pants do ride up a little, it's usually while I'm sitting at my desk anyways so nobody notices. I used to worry about it, but now I'm pretty confident that nobody will notice even though it usually prints a little at the back of my calf.
Not sure how you'd fit an ankle holster into jeans and boots for motorcycling. Were you thinking something higher up on your calf? If so then pulling your pant leg up gets even harder. Stash your pistol in a saddle bag?
