I will be purchasing a new pistol soon. I have a 2 part question. Looking at something compact for everyday carrying. I do allot of hunting, fishing and hiking so my concerns are bears or snakes. Would like it to be dual purpose for personal protection as well. Advise on a nice quality fire arm? Been looking at a ruger 357 snubby which also fires 38. Or do I just go with a 1911 (Pretty much for pleasure use) and go with an inexpensive everyday carry.IE 380/22?

What about the Taurus judge? The 410 would be great for snakes and 45 LC would be fine for bear. Were lucky that you don't really have to worry about black bears unless maybe you sneak up on momma bear with cubs.www.AvidArms.com I'm STIHL out of conditioner!!
