How many and how do you carry your spare magazines?
I alway carry extra ammo to fill her up in case I have to use it. For my S&W 642 Arieweight I carry one Bianchi Speed Strip for casual local trips, for going else where I'll take two speed strips. For areas I'm not familiar with I'll take a larger handgun and still have my 642 in my right front pocket. Depending on where I'm planning on going depends upon what I take. In bad areas I prefer my Glock 20 - 10mm with two extra fifteen round mags. Other places either one of my larger 357 magnum revolvers or my Colt 1911 Combat Commander always with extra ammo.
My 642 goes in my right front pocket as soon as I put my pants on in the morning every morning, 100% of the time.
The last I knew 100% of all home invasions happened "AT HOME"!
what kinda threats do you guys anticipate ..?
4 loaded mags
4 mags and more Ammo
2 pistols, 6 mags ...:Whiteflag:
this isn't Afgannystan ya know
in 40 years I have never met anyone that did more than " display" their pistol
That's what I'm sayin lol. The one time if any time..1 bullet will most likely stop the threat or have em running at the least..unless u gonna unload like that smily emoji LOL
unholstered twice in 40 years
both bad area's, there for work
once, I was a mugging target --Chippewa St. in Buffalo
the other, in like 1974, came out to the work van, two guys were beating the crap outta a workmate.. this was in Fredonia
Chippewa used to be a much different place than it is today. A lot like what I imagine Times Square used to be before it got cleaned up.
I sometimes carry a .357 revolver, sometimes a (compact) .45 with a 10-round mag. I seldom carry an extra mag\speedloader although I have done so more often in the last few months.

This weekend my imagination got the best of me. I figured I've got the speed-loaders, so why not carry them? All cylinders loaded and two speed-loaders in my coat pocket puts me at 15 rounds total. Doubt I'll ever need any of it, but like the old saying goes..... better to have it and not need it than end up hoping I can pull off Matrix style combat moves to take down the bad guy.
