Sounds cool. Did they talk price vs. quantity at all?

No, I brought that up initially and was told that an FFL can get a 20% discount. So while there is no bulk discount if there is a FFL willing to help out that is a good savings.www.AvidArms.com I'm STIHL out of conditioner!!

Bob is the man! Maybe if we're nice he'll build one too...
OK, I'm past the what if and onto the when?
How we going to allocate serial numbers? No. 1 and No. 2 are spoken for, lol... Who want's 007? I'm stretching my memory here but recall Chris Fry having #10, I think of an AST run... Maybe he'll want a matching one from NYSG...
Getting psyched....

My guess would be soonest is after tax return time so that way a lot of people will hopefully have some extra spending cash. So we should probably first get definitive head count, find FFL willing to help out, finalize a design and serial number scheme then figure out if we are going to buy either frame or slide first or both.

Funds are scarce atm. But IF I could afford one, I'd wish for a 10mm version with aggressive serrations on the slide to make it easy to rack. A .45 would be doable as well. I'm trying to save cash to GTFO out of this state. Each expensive toy like this I buy makes it take that much longer before I can move outta here!NRA Life Member

My unit did a 1911 for our last deployment. It cost us 977.00 with the platinum engraving package. My Commanding General just sent me an email saying, that the thing looks too beautiful to shoot, but he is going to shoot it anyway. Then he thanked me for heading up the project. Only 26 of them were made.

They thought it sounded like a really cool idea as well for a forum to do a group build.
