    Feeler - NYSG Custom 1911

    This is USMC's brainchild but I'm 100% behind it. Need a show of hands who would be up for a group buy on a custom NYShenaniguns 1911 with unique engraving (incorporating Guns Mischief Mayhem) and serial numbers? We're thinking keeping it to actual cost plus 1/number of people in group for an extra gun for Karma. This is just an idea at this point. Number of people interested will allow us to gauge interest and get quotes for a limited production run. We'll try to keep cost reasonable but are also interested in building something to be proud of. Just off the top of my head I'm thinking $750 to $1,000 per gun.

    So who's in?

    Oh, yeah, should go without saying but all laws apply and transfer to be done through FFL of our choosing (probably Firefly if he's interested)...

    what gun? My unit did SIGP250 when we got back from Afg. $450 each in 45. Awesome.

          Once again, I'm in. Currently no 1911 in my stable; sold my Operator. Be great to have one custom made detailing my new home.

                Also may be able to order just slide and frame with custom work and allow you to build rest of it as funds allow. That would keep cost down for everyone.

                I'm thinking serial numbers should be MMXIV-## slide should have GMM and NYSG etched in it. Possibly with username but that might add to cost if they are not identical.

                    I like the club idea. How about we build together over time. Start with slide, next frame, then grips, barrel, internals, trigger group, sights etc. We can stretch it out over year or more so its not such a big hit all at once. Can start private thread for participants where we can discuss ideas deals on parts design etc...

                              I love the idea. If the money's right, I'm totally in. Really like the build idea, as well.
