Canadian 1911 Magazine Information

My father picked up a 1911 magazine with a Canadian marking on the side. Anyone have any insight about these?

I just picked up a 1911 mag with what I think is a Canadian military inspection stamp on the side at a sale today. From what I have found, Canada did get a few 1911s from Colt. However, the only information I can find has the stamp on the bottom and there should be lanyard loop. Interesting find and I would appreciate any info. I have attached a photo.

I think I figured it out. I believe it's a Canadian military acceptance stamp. Check our pistol in this thread and it shows same marking on slide.

Oh and maybe it's an early model or WW2 era magazine.
