So the Hudson H9 has been covered by different media outlets since at least the SHOT show. I've read up on it a bit and am intrigued by the design. It appears to include some outside the box thinking and stands out as unique in today's pistol market. Unfortunately it's really pricey at this point.

Just the other day I ran across some photos of the "new" Kalashnikov PL-14 pistol. I'm not sure if I just missed it when it was first announced or what, but suddenly the Hudson isn't looking quite as unique since the Kalashnikov photos are from 2015.

Both are clearly going for a really low bore axis. The Hudson appears to achieve a lower one, but whether or not the Hudson achieves commercial viability remains to be seen. No idea if the Kalashnikov has a single action trigger pull like the Hudson.
