I replaced the stock sights on my G30 with Meprolight Tru-Dot night sights, centered them up and went to the range. Shoots high and left (using a "cover the target" hold) at 7 yards. The windage I can zero with a sight adjustment, it's the elevation that bothers me. It appears that I now need to use a 6 o'clock hold instead of covering the target with the front dot. I actually prefer the pumpkin on a fence post set up on my rifle irons but I just spent the past several months learning to shoot handguns and every single one that I own (except for the Glock apparently) use a "cover the target" sight picture. I'm almost thinking about putting the stock sights back on.......grrrrr.

Speaking of sighting in though, I finally got to run the Marlin 336 I acquired a couple months ago (1948 first year production gun). Only took a few rounds to get her sighted in at 50 yards and then....woot! What a blast it is shooting the cowboy gun, I always wanted a lever gun and now that I have one I can say that I am in love.Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

Yea I was referring to a different height front site. . Do they make different height rear sites?

I misread your post. I thought the Glock was shooting high. Regardless there isn't much you can do without swapping out the front or back sights.Originally posted by thughes View PostComment
