  • Easy picatinny rail MIL-STD-1913 for any rifle

Quick and simple solution for a picatinny rail section MIL-STD-1913 to attach a bipod, light or accessory to your tactical or hunting rifle.

Depending on your rifle you have to find a rail that can fit both in length and will have a flat base or appropriate radius as
    required by your hand-guard.

There is no need to spend a lot and one can buy a rugged section out of ebay.

for 7 or 8 dollars a magpul moe might do the trick...

Or even a UTG 10/22 section that one can find in several highs if needed.
Keep in mind that UTG doesn't only do airsoft components. They have rifle rails and accessories that are milled in the USA under brand name UTG pro and they are well made.

Others could be mossberg, remington and simple flat rails that one can cut to the desired length.

Depending on the stock one need to know if the current front stud could be used or maybe a new set is needed.
One could try to use one of the existing holes and make sure the threads are strong and then drill a second
hole in the stock matching the one pre-drilled in the picatinny rail. For wood one might want to use a wood screw
with wide threads not too deep. For a fiberglass one might need a bolt and recess for a nut on the other side.

Additionally one might choose a v shape head that can be torqued flush with the bottom of the rail so this will not
interfere during the mounting. IF one keeps the stud one need to choose if the required devices can be mounted
efficiently in the remaining sections in front and behind the stud.

Here is a simple example on a 308 rifle we built for my son. We used a 10/22 rail with a bolt and nut on one
of the pre-drilled holes and the stud on the other. The holes were slightly enlarged and tapered with the drill
so the V head will sit flush with the bottom of the rail in the back. But we kept the stud in the back. The simple rail
is rock solid on this full aluminum bedded stock.

Sorry for the crappy picture below. I will try to get a better one but you get the idea.

The attached Harris Bipod is attached with a QD rail and the hole unit is not moving and doesn't show any play after dozens of shooting sessions of heavy pounding.

I moved the stud and had this rail piece floating around in the parts bin. Works great with bipod and cost $0.

I bought my sons out of state.

I love it! it is perfect. I think this system increases the versatility of the firearm also because everyone has an adaptor or QD system
that make things so much easier. plus one could use it for many other things.
