Who hasn't been on a long competition or shooting session with an AR and got the face filthy.
They sell those gas buster charging handles but they are so-so and they are expensive.
Do you want to make one very efficient and virtually free? Follow the instructions below....
You start with a regular charging handle of your choice.

Get some Fuac approved Silicone that is heat resistant. Gasket sealant is a good one.

Some sandpaper, small dowel or small file will do....

Sand the edges around the joint with the receiver. The glossy anodizing is not a good surface for the silicone to stick to.

Clean the handle well with alcohol, acetone or brake cleaner. All debris should be gone.

You can also apply a small amount on the sides where there is some gas bleeding going on too.

With a swab or paper spread some grease in the receiver in all those contacts points where you do not want any excess
silicone to adhere.

With a little dowel or small plastic strip apply the silicone in the area if some gets under don't worry
just make sure you have some grease on the receiver so it will not stick.
