Ok so to boot this up I am going to make a couple of inexpensive yet efficient sight tools to adjust sights in any pistol or rifle with a dovetail.
I will use a clamp style system and then a fine thread on the pushing rod so we can get very small and precise adjustments as needed.
This should be simple to use, will fit any pistol or rifle including M1 sights, and will not require any additional tools.
It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

I found a couple of decent clamps so now I have to machine a pusher and thread it to match the wanted assembly.
please share any ideas or tips. Here we can boot many ideas for tools, metal parts for firearms or accessories, sports, outdoors, etc..
then when we have a project we can dedicate a thread like the one I am doing for the automatic brass annealing machine. I ordered the controllers already so will be updating on that one too. Some pics and diagrams will follow. It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

You could use a manual micrometer screw
Old enough to know better, still too young to care

That would be nice but I think I am going to use MT4-1 bolts I already have and see how it works. I am also going to bore the tip a bit so I can put a bit of brass of aluminum so it will not scuff the sights. It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

A sight does't require a lot of force but it requires control. That is what the fine thread gives you. very small adjustments. A lot better than the old fashion way of punching the sights with a small brass hammer where one could sped 1hr back and forth. It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

Ok. So here it is. The NYSH universal Sight MEKETOOL.
Between a quality U clamp and one bolt and a few other tools this is simple and affordable...
I created a separate thread for this...
